Raised in a Catholic home
I was raised in a Catholic home up until my junior year. When my brother introduced me to the gospel, I made a decision to follow Jesus and wanted everyone to hear the gospel. A couple of years later I was baptized at the Baptist church my family and I were attending.
After a 17 year marriage and raising 3 daughters in a Christian home, I found myself a single dad and in a place, I would have never imagined. Once I remarried I didn’t find a church to call home until after moving to Austin. My daughter and son-in-law invited us to their church, where my mother-in-law accepted Christ and together with my wife they were baptized. This encouraged me to go deeper in my walk with God, so we decided to serve on the parking lot team.
One day while doing a search online for Bible tracks, I came across the Living Waters website. I didn’t truly understand the gospel until I learned about “Hell’s Best Kept Secret” and “True and False Conversions”. I also learned about reformed theology.
In the summer of 2019 my wife and I attended the Ambassador’s Academy, an outreach of Living Waters. This 3-day event taught us the principles of biblical evangelism.
Shortly after, I discovered CCN through the Texas Local Evangelism Connection Facebook group. I am a campus leader for CCN at the University of Texas, which is the perfect addition to my ministry. Students come from all over the world to attend college to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ & be a disciple.
