Tracts
Gospel tracts are great tools in evangelism. Christian Collegian Network encourages students to always carry gospel tracts. Sometimes there isn’t always an opportunity for a gospel conversation to take place, and gospel tracts are a great tool when you’re on-the-go. Tracts explain the gospel of Jesus in a simple and clear way and are usually accompanied by encouraging yet convicting messages. A simple, “Hey, did you get one of these?” is a simple way to start a conversation with anyone and anywhere. They also allow believers to leave follow-up information, so that the reader can contact someone if they have questions. One of our popular gospel tracts are the trillion-dollar bill tracts that read as follows:
“Do you agree that everything came from nothing and that God does not exist? Do you believe that your morals and your thoughts are just random chemical reactions? The Bible says that God does exist, and that He has written His moral law on your heart. Let’s take a look at this law and see if you are a moral person. Have you ever lied, stolen, or taken God’s name in vain? Jesus said that if you lust after another person, you commit adultery in your heart. Have you ever lusted after someone? If so, you’ve just admitted to being a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, and an adulterer-at-heart. Because God is holy and just, punishment for sin is an eternity in the lake of fire. However, God mercifully sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth to live a perfectly moral life, and since Jesus never sinned, He became the only acceptable sacrifice for sin. He voluntarily laid down his life-He was beaten and died on a cross, shedding His innocent blood, and taking upon himself the punishment for sin that you and I deserve. God poured out His wrath on Jesus so that you can be forgiven. Three days later, Jesus defeated sin and death when He rose from the grave. God now commands you to repent (turn from sin and turn to God) and put your faith in Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) God will consider your sins forgiven because although you broke the Law, Jesus paid your fine. Repent and put your faith in Jesus. Read the Bible and do what it says.”
Tons of great Biblical truths are put on a little card and given to people who will read it and have a chance to hear about the Good News of Jesus Christ in a short presentation of the Gospel.
