Another young lady gave her life to Christ.

While witnessing at IUP last week, I spoke with a young lady who recognized me from a conversation we had two weeks earlier. I asked her what she had done with what we discussed. She told me that after our conversation, she repented and put her trust in Jesus Christ. She was with a Christian friend and shared that she has begun attending church. Please pray that her profession of faith would be genuine and that she would continue to grow in repentance and faith.

Holy has been joining me at IUP to observe and learn how to share the gospel. She has also begun speaking with others herself. Please pray that the Lord would give her boldness, clarity, and faithfulness as she continues to share the gospel.

A practical note: when witnessing in the rain, bringing a large umbrella can create unexpected opportunities for conversation. When you hold the umbrella over others, they are often willing to stay and talk rather than walk away in the rain.

Please also pray for a young man I spoke with who believes in karma. He said that if he does bad things, then bad things will happen to him. When I asked who determines what is right and wrong, he said that he decides. I asked him what would happen if he simply decided that everything he does is good. By what standard, then, could anything be called wrong? I also asked him whether what Hitler did was wrong, and he responded that he did not think Hitler believed his actions were wrong. This revealed the inconsistency of his worldview and opened the door to speak about God’s standard of righteousness.
