CCN Students Enjoying Bible Study

Thank you for supporting CCN and our campus leaders. We love sharing the gospel with students. Pray for the students to grow in their faith.

Mary’s Update:

This past month has brought some challenges, but we often learn a great deal through those challenges as we trust the Lord.

I am thankful for a wonderful group of students who desire to know God and make Him known. We have continued meeting regularly for Bible study. One week, when car trouble prevented me from being there, our CCN ECU president led the study. I praise God for students who are willing to step forward and teach His Word!

A glitch in our paperwork has temporarily prevented us from doing outreach on campus. We are working to resolve it and look forward to getting back out to share the gospel with students.

Please pray that the paperwork issue will be resolved quickly and that my car will keep running reliably, so we can continue proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your prayers and support as we seek to evangelize the lost and disciple the found.

Tim’s Update:

The month of October I mostly did Open Air Preaching on all 3 of the Tidewater Community Colleges. Preaching led to me having some great One 2 One conversations about the gospel with students. Lastly, I preached on Christopher Newport University across the street from the school!

Andre, Lauren, Garrett Steve and Traci and Cliff’s Update.

This month has been a campus challenge. Reached out to RCCC and haven’t heard anything back yet. We pray God will make a way at MCCC and or RCCC.

We still evangelize Pottstown every Friday at 7. We’ve had many one on one opportunities. Thanks to CCN we’re able to navigate through the different worldviews and drive them to the Gospel.
3 out of the 4 weeks we were encounters by Mormons. Discussed many things their erroneous view of eternal progression, salvation by works, person of Jesus Christ, etc. How the Gospel is directly impacted by your doctrine of God. We were able to take each point and navigate to a gospel presentation. And they listened…intently!!! We told we’re not here to win arguments but to share the gospel with gentleness and respect.
What’s truly a joy is how everyone has progressed from reluctance to boldness. Also the progression in their gospel presentation is something to be proud of. Please pray for us and this wonderful ministry. God bless

Brian’s Update:

The month of October has been a blessed month and a challenging month at my campus. At the end of the school year last year, it seemed the students had really warmed up to me since they were used to seeing my face weekly. My experience this year has been like starting from scratch in a way. Yes, I’ve seen some familiar faces, but I’ve also seen many new faces and a lot won’t even say “hello” when you greet them. In all fairness, there are some that have earbuds in and can’t hear me, but there are some that don’t and just ignore me. When that happens I try not to be offended but believe the best about them and look at them like humans. Maybe their having a rough week with school, maybe a breakup with a boyfriend or girlfriend, or something else is going on in their life. I don’t know. God knows. Please pray God will break through hard hearts and I’ll be able to get to speak with them or be able to give them a tract and build a relationship with them. I’ve had some great encounters though. I’ve been able to share the gospel verbally and had out many upon many tracts. I have caught up with a student that I’ve gotten to know and wants to start a Bible study. Praise God! In my first photo, the student with the red book bag professed faith in Christ and was really interested about joining my Bible study and he even had his friends stop and said they would be interested as well. In the second photo I spoke with a homeless man. His name is “Kim.” He’s originally from Laos. I handed him a tract and I had him read it and then tell me his thoughts on what he read. He reacted positively to it but according to his words, it seemed he never trusted in Christ personally. Please pray for this Bible study to get started and that the Holy Spirit will help me teach the word and He will guide these students, please pray for “Kim” that he will be saved and the Lord will send him the help he needs to get his identification from dmv so he get get employed and a future home to live in, and please pray for the gospel to continue to go out. Thank you and Lord bless! Also, this month I had fellow campus leader “Tim Jackson” at the campus with me and I visited his campus. While Tim was at my campus, a lady who enjoyed Tim’s preaching came up to him and gave him a $20 gift card to a coffee shop that is in the shopping center where we stand. It was so nice for the Lord and her to bless us that way. Tim was nice to share some of that gift card with me.
