Back on the Campus

Prayer needs
1. We desire to be bold in sharing the gospel.
2. There are many false religions that we encounter on campus. Pray that we will speak the truth in love.
3. Wisdom in preparing for our outreaches.
4. We will continue to grow.
5. Prayerfully consider financially supporting us.

Mary in North Caroline shared the following:

CCN-ECU is back on campus and focused on evangelizing the lost and disciplining the found. We have begun our weekly Bible studies and are preparing our outreaches to share the Gospel at the ECU home games this semester. During the week, we interact with students, listen to them, pray with them, and invite them to our weekly Bible study.
One of my students told me that their professors hate Jesus, and while that is true, we can be assured that there are also professors who stand for Jesus. However, the push back against Christians is more prominent this year.
I was struck by these verses while reading 1 Samuel this month.
Then Jonathan said to the young man who was carrying his armor, “Come, and let’s cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised men; perhaps the LORD will work for us because the LORD is not limited to saving by many or by few!” (1 Samuel 14:6)

Jonathon and his armor bearer defeated a garrison of men, just the two of them. Jonathon had great confidence in our God. He knew that if what he was doing would give God glory, God would give him the battle. Without faith, you cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). Jonathon displayed great faith, and his armor bearer had the faith to watch his back because of his confidence in God. I pray that you would give me your confidence and watch my back by supporting me in prayer and financially as we continue to serve God in this arena.
The American University Campus is a battlefield that the enemy of our souls has gained and seems to be gaining ground in the hearts and minds of these young people. In 2023, suicide was the number one reason for deaths on college campuses. These young people are pushed into many decisions that they are not prepared for. Many look at the world and think there is no hope for a better tomorrow. We know that true, lasting hope comes in Jesus Christ alone, not in circumstances, money, pleasure, or notoriety. CCN-ECU intends to fight the battle. We are small in number, but we have a great God who is our Commander, who, like Jonathon said, God is not limited to saving by many or few.

Tim was allowed to take these two young men through the good person test. Holding the IQ test sign allows Tim to share the gospel with many people at Virginia Beach.  Boardwalks are a great place to go and share the gospel.

Weekly Bible Study has begun with students in Pottstown. After Cliff ran Bible Study then the team met up with others and shared the gospel in Pottstown. Pray the students listen and learn in the coming weeks and start to go out and share the gospel.

Laura sharing the gospel at the University of Pittsburgh. He listened to the law and the gospel for about 1.5 hours. He was intentionally listening and asking questions. Pray that this young man repents and places his faith in Jesus.

Much time is spent inviting students to Bible Study in the first couple weeks of the semester. The task is often called tabling. Pray that many students come out to the Bible Studies this year.
