Official on the Campus

For the last five years, Mary has shared the gospel with East Carolina University students. This past week, they became official. This is a very exciting time. This month, they handed out 3,000 tracts at the ECU home games. They also meet for Bible study weekly and are out on campus weekly.

This past week, Hurricane Helene ripped through several states, but it seems that Western North Carolina has been hit hard. Buncombe County is devastated. Mary has many family members there, and  is still waiting to hear from them. So much has been wiped out, just washed away.

Mary asked her uncle, who is 86 and has lived in the mountains, if he thought it would be bad, but he didn’t. So many were not prepared for this storm. They ignored the warning, so there are many missing and many who have lost their lives.
There is a far greater storm coming: The Wrath of God. As Christians, we are to warn everyone to flee the wrath to come. Some will ignore it, some will not take it seriously, but we are to warn. Many will be lost, and many will be wiped away into eternity.
As a campus missionary, and a Christian our duty is to tell the students that they are accountable to a Holy God who owns their souls and everything on earth.

Please pray for our ministry as we grow and reach more students with the Gospel. Please also pray for those who are missing and their families due to this hurricane.

Tim has students at his Bible Study on the campus in VA. They are going to have Bible Study half of the time and then they are going to all go share the gospel the second half of their meeting time. Praise Jesus that he is raising up Christians to go and share the gospel.

This young man claimed to be saved. He said he was basically forgiven because he was Catholic. Andre shared the Law and the Gospel and explained that salvation is by grace through faith, not works. It’s a gift of God. He did stay to hear the entire presentation. He then said he would think about it and thanked Andre and left.

Each week Cliff is still doing online Bible study. The Bible Study is happening 2 times a week. Christians go to the Bible study and then they go out witnessing in Pottstown.

Gene has been going to share the gospel at the University of Pittsburgh every week. He has done a wonderful job sharing the gospel at the West Deer and the New Castle booths with Jenifer this month as well.

At the West Deer booth Jen witnessed to a women that she normally would not witness to. She had Jen share the gospel with her. After Jen shared the gospel with her Jen asked her what would keep her from repenting and trusting in Jesus. She told Jen that she needed to clean herself up first and then she would trust Jesus. Jen explained to her that is not how it works. She needs to come to Christ and he would clean her up. Jen gave her tons of materials and she read all of them. It was the best witness encounter of the weekend. Jen had a booth at West Deer for 2 days and  shared the gospel with tons of people.
