I had a wonderful month of witnessing. I was able to talk to tons of students about the gospel. I have been surprised at how willing people are to talk about the gospel. Most people have not heard the gospel. I have talked to many that go to churches every week that cannot tell you the gospel. Everyone thinks you have to go over seas to do missions but most of the people in this country have never heard the gospel. They think getting to heaven is about being a good person and going to church. Some people know that they have to repent. The idea that Jesus lived a perfect life and never sinned and allowed himself to die on the cross and take the full wrath of God in our place is not something they understand. Just last night I talked to a student for 30 minutes because he wanted to convince me I needed to do good deeds to earn my salvation. He thinks that faith alone is not true. He goes to a baptist church. I am grateful to be able to go out and share the gospel.
I have been going downtown to witness in Market Square and near Point Park. The conversations have been very honest. The people have been happy that people are willing to talk to them about the things of God. I have had so many people thank me for sharing the gospel with them.
I decided that I wanted to try and double the amount of time that I go out and witness. I prayed that God will send me people to go witnessing with. God answered my prayers. He sent me Jill to go witnessing with me on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
God sent Chad to go witnessing with me at Pitt 3 nights a week. A women named Vanessa has been joining us as well. Jill’s husband Eric has been joining us on some of the evenings as well. I am so grateful for people that are not ashamed of the gospel.
