Students Open to Hearing the Gospel

The students have been so open to hearing the gospel.  I have never had a time where the students stayed so long to hear the gospel.  I had many students come back to talk about spiritual things week after week.  Many students that claimed to be Christians heard the gospel and understand it now better than ever before.

I talked to Pitt Staff many times in a row. This young man was thinking about the things of God before I talked to him.  His mother had died and so Spiritual things were on his mind.  He knew that his mother was no longer in her body after she died.  He looked at creation and knew there has to be a God.

That is exactly what the Bible tells us in Romans 1:18-20 ” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

I was able to introduce him to his creator and share that God is a just judge but also he made a way for him to be reconciles with God.  I explained that Jesus lived that perfect life that he could not live and died on the cross.  Three days later Jesus rose from the grave proving he is truly God and truly man.  Death could not hold Jesus because of the sinless life Jesus lived.  I told him he must repent and trust in Jesus.  He needs to stop trusting in his own goodness.  The Bible says that we must be born again.  When we repent and trust Jesus then our wicked sins are paid for on the cross and we are credited with the righteous life that Jesus lived.

If you have not repented and trusted Jesus then today is the day of salvation.  Do not let your heart be hardened.  Call out to Jesus today.

I traveled to Pottstown Pa this month to witness with Cliff and Andre, who are two CCN Campus Leaders on the other side of PA.  We had a ton of good conversations.  Several of the people they go witnessing with each week were very encouraged by how I got so many people to stop and talk just by just asking people that walked by a question.

You can see some examples of questions that you can ask by going to www.changeyourcampus.com  I have been spending lots of time on the website and plan to spend much more time on it this coming month.  If you look at the menu on that page to the right on a computer or at the bottom on a phone you can see a ton of links that give you verses to use when you are talking to different kinds of people.

I started going to the South Side to witness.  I have not been down there witnessing in many years.  There were tons of people and many were willing to stop and talk.  These two had been just talking about the things of God.  When I explained who God is and what he requires they were happy to understand.  I shared the gospel and they hung out and talked for quite some time even with their pizza getting cold.
