Evangelists Unleashed!

In the Great Commission (Mk. 16:15) the Lord Jesus gave one simple command to His disciples—Go—and off they went! Ever since God has “unleashed” evangelists into all the world to faithfully preach His good news.

Today, evangelists of every stripe continue in their efforts to spread the life-saving message of salvation through Jesus Christ to a sick and dying world.

Campus Leader Tim Jackson at Virginia Beach

Tim went to Virginia Beach a few times to go share the gospel this summer. People stopped and talked. The beach is always a wonderful place to share the gospel.

CCN University of Texas Campus Missionaries over the summer have taken to the streets of downtown Austin to preach the gospel. Recently, the ministry relocated from the Texas State Capitol to Republic Square Park where they have been engaging with local residents there every Saturday.

Campus Leader Francisco Nieves employs the good person test before presenting the gospel.

This new location is strategic in the sense that it has two bus stops where at many times throughout the day heavy foot traffic can be expected which makes it an ideal spot for street evangelism. In addition to evangelizing the lost in the public square, the UT Campus Missionary team has been continuing strong with their online Bible Study via Zoom every Thursday night. Check out the CCN University of Texas page at changeyourcampus.com/UT to sign up for their monthly newsletter or for information on joining their free online Bible Study.

University of Pittsburgh Campus Leader Gene Henderson delivering gospel tracts to students

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Campus Leader Gene was able to have several great conversations with students at the University of Pittsburgh including these two young ladies shown here. Gene believes that one of the young lady’s mother must be a believer because with each reference to Scripture and the gospel she would tell Gene, “That is what my mom keeps telling me.” To which Gene replied unhesitatingly, “Her prayers are why we’re talking now!”

Isn’t that the truth? For many believers if not for the intercession of our parents, grandparents, friends, or relatives (even strangers on the street), and their prayers many might still be caught in their sins without the knowledge and hope of Jesus Christ.

Campus Leader Andre Goff (middle left) talks with a young man in Pottstown

The love of God is being proclaimed in Pottstown, PA! Through a recent partnership between CCN Campus Missionaries Andre and Cliff and members from a local church, together they have committed to conducting regular weekly evangelism outreaches in their neighborhood. And they come ready!

Each week members from the team take turns reading Scripture in the open air. One evening in particular this outreach had preachers “on the box” nonstop for two hours! As the team continues to grow brothers and sisters in Christ from the local area come with one desire and that is to plant the seed of God’s Word while trusting in Him to provide the increase as He sees fit.

Local partnerships like these provide for greater, more effective outreach. They allow others to disciple these new believers in local Bible-believing churches.

Please pray for our Campus Leaders as they remain faithful to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. That they would faithfully preach the gospel and make disciples for Him in and around their communities. Pray also that God’s elect out on the street who have heard the call will repent and place their trust in Christ.

Thank you for your continued support of this ministry and for your faithful partnerships!

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!
