Unconditional Election

ESV scriptures to show that if you are saved you are always saved.  A person is chosen before time.

Exodus 33:19 ““A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

Deut 7:6-7 ““For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples,”

Psalm 65:4 “Blessed is the one you choose and bring near,   to dwell in your courts!  We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,   the holiness of your temple!”

Isaiah 43:20-21 “The wild beasts will honor me,   the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness,  rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, 21     the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.”

Matt 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.””

Mark 13:20 “And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.”

John 1:12-13 “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

John 6:37 “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

John 6:39 “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.”

John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 10:15-16  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”

John 10:26-30 “but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.””

John 17:2 “since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.”

Acts 13:48 “And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.”

Rom 8:29-30 “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”

Rom 9:1 “I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit”

Rom 9:15-16 ” For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion,[a] but on God, who has mercy.”

Rom 10:20 “Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me;  I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.””

Rom 11:5-7 “So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened,”

1 Cor 1:27-28 “But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,”

Eph 1:9-12 “making known[a] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.”

2 Tim 1:8 “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,”

2 Tim 2:10 “Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.”

Titus 1:1 “Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness,”

Rev 17:8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.”
